. Last weekend Modhan rocked Knockengorroch, our first festival of the summer. Where to start,... a slight mix up in communication ended up with us hitting the Longhouse on Thursday night where we performed an acoustic set of our new stuff to a very appreciative audience with a brilliant roaring fire in the background.
We may have got into the festival spirit a little too enthusiastically, and one or more of the band certainly felt the effects all through Friday. Other than recovering, some great bands were enjoyed including Asazi Space Funk Explosion and Lau. We topped off the day with a set in the cabaret tent as a four-piece (who needs fiddle or percussion anyway?).
Back in the real world, our new material is coming together nicely. At a practice this week at Modhan Towers we worked on Graham's new piece (once again, naming tunes isn't a strong suit for the band), which is proving to be a bit tricky but we're confident it will sound the bees knees, provided we don't mess it up that is...
Next stop, The Wickerman Festival on 22-23 July, hopefully see you then!
